Much has been written and discussed recently about business development in Longmont, we promise not to use the "Wal" word. The city and its current leadership have made their own views clear;
let individual business owners dedide if and where they want to locate. The city is currently seeking a liason to work for the
city with local developers as a focal point for
future develpment. The Longmont Downtown
Development Association (LDDA) recently recommended a mixed-use garage facility on the
third block of Kimbark Street. A facility that is much needed and vital to many downtown businesses.
The city council was to vote on this recommendation
in late January, but the matter was never discussed.
Our question to you: Should our city leaders do more to help promote and develop our city's center and if you will, its identity, Downtown Longmont. If you have something to say about this topic, share your thoughts
