admin writes, "Revamping Immigration Laws Your personal or political choice for identifying and classifying the roughly twelve million people in the United States that are not U.S. citizens; whether illegal aliens or migrant workers or undocumented immigrants, is not really important. The truth and reality is that a heated and passionate debate has gripped this nation from Congress throughout our fifty states."

Citing national security and threats to homeland security, many want to oust those twelve million people, making it illegal to stay and promising faster and harsher penalties for those who stay and are caught. To the other extreme, some say we should grant amnesty to the vast majority of those already here. The very enormous economic impact on what ever course is decided on is staggering. From physically rounding up and deporting hundreds and hundreds of thousands of people, to building construction, cleaning, and building maintenance to name just a few. To me, some sort of sensible balance to this contentious issue needs to be addressed. First to regain control over borders to only let those qualified to enter, proceed in, and stem the flow of more undocumented immigrants. Second, to find sensible ways to normalize and legalize the situations to as many of those already here, as possible. In both cases difficult choices will need to be made by state and national leaders.
