The City of Longmont and private company, MobilePro are working in conjunction to bring a citywide wireless network to our community."

The network, will allow access to the internet and enable its clients to check and send e-mail, as well as all other services available to web surfers and users.
The system will tap into Longmont's fiber optic system that surrounds the city already. MobilePro will install roughly 600 antennas all over the city using existing light poles for its power source.
The antennas will communicate with each other to provide a seamless network that officials say will encompass everywhere within city limits. Using the same technology as current wireless networks use, MobilePro hopes to be able to start selling subscriptions to residents and business customers by early next year. MobilePro estimates that basic monthly service wil
be approximately $20.00 per month.
