The Colorado General Assembly and Governor Bill Owens recently passed and signed into law a state-wide smoking ban in all restaurants, bars, and most public places.
While in no way would I suggest that smoking is anything but an unhealthy and physically destructive habit, not only for the smoker, but for all those around that are forced to breath second hand smoke.

The Longmont City Council is considering a ban on some, if not all breeds of dogs considered "dangerous". In fact, a pupblic hearing was held on February 15th for citizens to voice their opinions. There is also a plan for a second public hearing sometime in March to further discuss the issue.
